After Grey's Anatomy alum Eric Dane died following a battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) at age 53, his official cause of death was confirmed by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.

The actor passed away on February 19, less than a year after being diagnosed with ALS.
