Here are some simple steps to remember when pacing a patient! ▪️Place the pads on the patient. A lot of nurses also like to do the leads as well so I recommend both! ▪️Turn the knock the green pacing portion ▪️Confirm downward pacer spikes on the zoll monitor screen ▪️Set the output aka the milliamps (mA). It will vary by patient but you typically will see capture around 50-60 mA. You will know it’s capturing once you see a QRS directly following the pacer spike ▪️ You want to set the capture 2
